Latest News - Saturday, November 17 2007:
TEAM RTR threw its support behind McDonalds McHappy Day
Event, attending the M4 East Bound McDonalds Restaurant to help
raise funds for Ronald McDonald House.
That night, the team continued to raise the profile of their
sponsors, with some strong but ultimately sketchy form at Tyrepower
Parramatta City Raceway, as part of Round 3 of the NSW Litre
Sprintcar Championship Series.
After holding their own in the first heat, Team RTR were looking in
strong form with a 9th place finish in a strong field in their
second heat of the night... qualifying directly for the A Main
Feature race on the night.
Ultimately though, a slick track and some big ruts (and some wing
issues) would rob the team of a top 10 finish... seeing them forced
to pit early, and end their promising night of racing.
Latest News - Saturday, October 20 2007:
TEAM RTR
got off to a flying
start, recording a 3rd place in the first heat race,
going one better in the second heat of the night... with a second
placed finish and direct qualification for the A Main Feature race.
Feeling confident going into the feature race, the team started out
of grid position 11, and were running close to the front of the pack
- holding down 5th place - before things started to unravel.
The rear of the Team RTR Litre Sprintcar stepped out in turn 2 - and
despite the best efforts of driver Robert Taylor, the car dug in,
and flipped over backwards destroying the top wing, before landing
back on its wheels.
Damaged but still able to continue, Robert pushed on, despite a bent
front axle, before the car condition continued to deteriorate,
forcing Team RTR to bring the car back to the pits and ending the
nights' racing.
